Page Two Teaser

I've just finished inking this panel from page two of the Judge Dredd sample script.

For some reason this brings back memories from my days of night-clubbing whilst at university.

My favourite character in this panel is the tool who's vogue-ing centre frame.

Really excellent, Kev! You make drawing a crowd look easy.

Well, I go away for a week and come back to find Kev has turned into a frenzied pro comic book artist! Just from the roughs you can see there is some terrific staging / narrative / emotion in the story. You really seem to be finding your feet on this one. The crowd scene is impressive, you've handled the space well, to me there is a slight suggestion of a fish eyeing camera lens which helps convay that cinematic wideshot feel. I look forward to the colour...will it be a monotone for the crowd and picking the leads out in colours? Keep bagging the rocks together K!

this is really amazing...truly an art form I cannot master. I am always in awe of comic bookies...they have such a committed understanding of the figure.
