Finished Judge Dredd Pin-up

I think I've finished this...

Not much to say really. Pretty happy about how this has turned out.

Really nice to see the evolution of this piece Kev. Up to your usual stratospheric standards! Would grace any wal. Just a thought (if time allows...) but maybe you could take same basic artwork and treat it in different ways ie. time of day / mood lighting... all to showcase your skills...? Or onward and upward to new pieces is perhaps a better course...?

Verification -"rooki", the state of being like a rook :)

Nice work buddy. You.ve got a real knack for MegaCity backdrops, and I love the colouring on Dredd himself.

WV: ingspin; too spun to spell.

Hi Kev,

hope you don't mind this...

Overall I think it's a nice pic, good perspective nice colouring and solid drawing. The problem is it just isn't Dredd he's not powerful enough and even looks a bit vulnerable in this scene. It's not a case of his physique, though his head could maybe be a little smaller, its more down to his attitude and framing in the drawing. I think a lower angle would have helped so that he wasn't overpowered by the buildings, remember its Dredd he has to dominate the pic!!
Anyway hope you don't mind my critique Kev I only say it cos I think your drawing is really good.I think with a little more dynamism and power to your stuff Tharg'll be giving you tons of work!

Utterly brilliant, Kev! Reminds me a little of Pete Doherty. You definitely deserve a shot at 2000AD, I hope you keep it up; make sure Tharg sees this with your next batch of samples!
