Illustration Friday - "Leap"

Poison Tree Panda.

©Marketing and Promotional Services Ltd.

I did this a couple of years ago as a pre-cursor to the PODZ project.
The basic thing for this was to splice two unlikely creatures together...
I've re-worked it a bit, given it new line-art and a bit more texture for this week's Illustration Friday topic.

Amazing! I love this one. The color contrast, the shiny skin, and of course the panda head. Cool.

Great concept for illustration! Nice blending...we do a monster factory project using photoshop...but this is a great idea for use with skilled artists in a more traditional sense.

Very cool! I like tree fogs a lot, but I'd really like to see a tiger/panda, a tanda or pandger if you will.

Your execution of this is great by the way.

Fantstic job on this! Absolutely love the colors and the 'splice' meshed together very well. I like that you kept the bamboo in the background too. Very vivid illustration!

Nice bit of illustrative hybridisation there Kev!

Wonder how it happened, its hard enough to get Pandas to mate with other Pandas, so getting results with a frog is outstanding work ;)

Nice contrast in the colours between fg and bg.

wow! very unusual idea. i love the blurred background, it looks like photography, with the subject very-well-focused.
