Goth

The current DrawerGeeks topic is Goth:


This was a quick digital sketch to get the idea of the simple b&w graphic down - Although, I think there might be a better execution of this idea.

I like this just the way it is! The slightly skeletal hand (at the little finger and edge off this...) works really well for me as does the loose treatment of the chin / bottom lip. I'd try to keep that looseness if you go to a final piece. Great that you've cropped tight too!

I think simple black and white is such a powerful medium. There's something emotionally ambiguous about your goth (can't help but think of Munch's Vampyr for some reason);which I love. So much scope for exploration....R A H 'Colonel Blimp'

that hand is sooo creepy, something about the bony knuckles and tendons ... i love the rather androgynous look too. x

Great mix of lights and darks...I like the streaking of the face...I'm not sure how I missed you were on Drawer Geeks!
