2000ad Lego

Another commission for Ian Leonard. Delighted to do this one after the Wizard of Oz one I did just a couple of months ago.

Hopefully it speaks for itself - I think it could really work as a series of Lego minifigures.

Here are my rough sketch sheets - yes, I cheated - I used a template figure printed a few out and drew all over the top them...

These are just fantastic. I especially like Dredd and Mrs Gunderson.

On another note: Dear Rebellion & Lego, I would buy them too.

There's something very pleasing in the serried ranks of similar but different characters. It's obvious you know your onions on this one, a very solid piece of design, something in each mini fig to like. Zombo is my fave I think... the undead superhero... or is it a yobo zombie...?

word verification "readrub"... stick your bent finger in the air and repeat after me...reeeadrub! reeeeeeeadrub!

Excellent as usual , Kev - I never knew there were Lego mini figures available. I always thought they had to be part of a set like Harry Potter and the like. There's no reason why these couldn't be made is there?

What a wonderful collection of minifigs, they're really adorable! You've done a fantastic job on these Mr Kev and I think you've got many people's mind's reeling with the possibilities. I'm no lego collector but couldn't resist a Slaine mini-fig. Outstanding #:-) Rob H

I think having a Lego Dante would make my head explode.
This is very nearly as good. Nice work.

Kev, you need to submit this to LEGO via http://lego.cuusoo.com/ which is the site for development projects. I'd love to see these in production - and they'd stand a good chance now th Dredd 3D movie is No1 in the UK box office
